Are you glad that Americans are finally beginning to deal with our underlying issues regarding race?

Yes. I was quite happy to see Obama's speech following the Rev. Wright uproar. I hope to see more candid discussion of the topic. Prior to the speech, I knew racism still existed, but only in my stereotypical way... It helped me see it from a different perspective and realize the problem was larger than I ever knew. It helped me get over the "get over it" mentality.
