I've been having ear & jaw pain for almost a week after a cavity filling..?

I got a cavity filled Tuesday (the white kind of filling) and it's Monday, I still have pain in my jaw and it radiates up to my ear too. Just one ibuprofen seems to take away all of the pain, but it's been almost a week. He did give me three shots of Novocaine or whatever they use, and the last couple of shots I kinda felt him hit something solid--probably my jaw. What do you think it could be?
