Lighting for a very old Dollhouse?

My daughter was just handed down our family dollhouse. It's very old but well maintained wooden house. I noticed online that there are so many things I can buy for her to decorate it (altough it does have some furniture). I never knew you can add lighting but that may be too complicated and I don't want to ruin something so very old. Is there any battery operated lighting I can buy?
