I am adept at lucid dreaming?

Well first of all I have mild ocd, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety issues. Medicated for all of them. Half of my dreams are lucid, but I have never intentionally tried to get it that way. It slowly developed to the point where if I realize i'm dreaming, I can take control of the dream. I can't change it though, just the way it plays out, and my "character" in general. Is there any science behind any of this? I never go to bed trying to lucid dream or say that i'm going to have a lucid dream tonight.
