Job shadowing a nurse.......?

I am a pre-nursing student in Fort Worth, TX. I have been trying to find a place to do some job shadowing to 1. see what it is like, but 2. because it helps my chances getting in to nursing school. My goal is to become a CRNA. If anyone knows of a place that will allow this, please let me know. I have called Baylor Gvine and they do not allow job shadowing, and neither does Harris Methodist in Fort Worth. And then for you nursing students, if I cant job shadow, should I just volunteer? Thnx!
