I want to put a restraining order on my ex?

you see he is not calling me anymore, but last year his ex called me and threatened me. Now they are together again and I fear that something bad will happen because my ex also threated me verbally. I had a restrainig order on me from him last year and I served my 6 months probation. Can I submit a restraining order on him. What does it take to file on. I am in Texas. please I am all alone and hurt, but scared that he might get angry because he is an alcholic and blames me for making him get demoted at work
